Visitor Visa
Temporary residents are foreign nationals who are permitted to enter and remain in Canada for a specified period of time. They must hold a valid passport and a temporary resident visa (TRV) or eTA. Visitor Visa is required for any person intended to spend holidays, visit family or friends. Visas are easily granted for applicants who have a genuine intent or have traveled overseas before & have the finances to support themselves in the country they are visiting.
Depending on where you live, and the reason for your visit, you will need to meet certain entry requirements, such as:
- An invitation from Canada with the intention of going back to your country.
- Have a valid passport.
- Be in good health.
- Have no criminal or immigration-related convictions.
- Convince an immigration officer that you have ties—such as a job, home, financial assets or family—that will take you back to your home country.
- Convince an immigration officer that you will leave Canada at the end of your visit, and
- Have enough money for your stay.
Visa requirements vary from country to country and it also depends on your nationality. For some countries & nationals, the tourist visa should be obtained before traveling, while for some it is granted on arrival. More often than not, an assessment is based on documents submitted & the visa interviews are rare. They can be categorized as under:
Single Entry Visa
Single entry visa allows a visitor to enter Canada only once. They will need to apply for a new visa for the next visit.
Multiple Entry Visa
Multiple entry – Multiple entry visa allows a visitor to travel Canada for multiple times without applying for a new visa. On each entry, visitor can stay for a maximum duration of six months . Multiple entry visas are valid up to 10 years or till the validity of passport which ever is earlier.
You will get your visa if you prove your intent is genuine, documentation is correct & complete, you have funds & will return before your visa expires.
How we help you?
Denial of a visitor visa to Canada can be for a variety of reasons. Submitting only the basic requirements which is mentioned in the checklist is not enough to make your case strong. There are number of additional documents you need to add in your application, which varies from case to case. Attempting for a visa with poor documentation & unprofessionaly prepared file, usually result in refusal, which also affect your future visa application remarkably. Also re-applying for a Canadian visitor visa after a rejection can be daunting , costly , time consuming and involve high efforts.
Using an Unregulated Immigration Consultant (not a member of ICCRC) or a Law Firm is a common reason why many Canadian visa applications are rejected or delayed. Fraudulent individuals/organizations take advantage of hopeful and desperate visa applicants, by offering things like guarantees. Therefore, if you come across an agency that makes this kind of claim, this is a red flag.
